REGISTRATION AND RACE INFORMATION

Location:  Birch Bay, WA and White Rock, BC. 30 miles north of Bellingham, WA and 40 miles south of Vancouver, BC, Canada. 

The Event:  An Olympic distance triathlon, a Sprint distance triathlon and an Open Water Swim. All Events start at approximately 8:30 AM. Total participation will be limited to ensure an extremely high quality event. 

Logistics: During the race, driving will be restricted on Semiahmoo spit.  Participants must drop off bike at T2 (US) Saturday night or morning of the race.  Parking race morning of the race will either be at T2/Finish  or the swim start.  Bikes and T2 may be set-up early race morning although Saturday is preferable.  Bus transportation from Semahimoo to the start with assigned times will be available.  Bus shuttles will return athletes to their cars in Blaine  post race (see Athletes Instructions). 

Exceptional Course:  The Olympic swim starts at Peach Arch Park in Canada and end at Semiahmoo Spit.  The Sprint swim starts at the Blaine Marina and ends at Semiahmoo Spit. The Olympic and Open Water Swims start together and end at Semiahmoo Spit. The Olympic distance bike route will take participants around Birch Point.  The Sprint Distance is a simple out and back on Semiahmoo Spit.  The run for both events is on Semiahmoo Spit on packed gravel trails.

USAT Sanctioning:  This is a USA Triathlon sanctioned event.  All participants will be insured by USAT event day insurance and must sign the event waiver in order to participate.   

Awards: Triathlons: Overall Male/Female; Masters (40+) Male and Female; Grand Master (F55+-M60+) 3 deep in all age groups 5 year increments.  Swim: Three deep in Overall Male/Female; Masters (40+) Male and Female; Grand Master (F55+-M60+) in wetsuit and non-wetsuit categories.  

FEE price includes:  race support, post-race food and on course hydration/food, Brooks Podium technical t-shirt (Hoody sweatshirt for swimmers), finishers awards and unique medallion - race day insurance.  Athletes who are not a USAT, TriBC or ATA, USMSA annual member must pay a $9.00 one-day fee.  Annual members must have proof of membership at registration.
